Looking for help from better event planners than myself: how do I find a good space for board gaming (on Wednesday night)?
We'll need lots of good-size, maybe banquet tables, and it should be SUPER close to the convention center, so people can get there easily.
I'd suggest calling one of
I'd suggest calling one of the conference hotels and asking them if they have a room available for guests attending the conference to use for a small quiet get-together. Also, please keep me included. I love board games. :)
I'm super interested!
Keep me in the loop, too. =o)
Also, if there's any interest in MTG around, I have a customized Modern Masters cube I'd love to draft.
Venue
There's a pretty big room next to the elevators at the residence inn.
We've been asked not to use
We've been asked not to use the hilton coder room, because (god forbid) some people actually want to CODE in there! But the Hilton lobby is great, with drinks service and several small tables. That has my vote, unless there's another space with equivalent space and cheaper drinks!
@bvedore, how big is "pretty big"? How many tables? How many people could fit there?
We've been offered the lobby of one of the nearby apartment buildings. Two big board room tables, probably 15-20 people. Any other options?
HILTON LOBBY IT IS!
see you there at 9:30!
