Druplicon's Fables: Stories of mistakes, morals, and doing it right

Speakers:

As developers, project managers, and architects we often forget to share lessons we have learned with our teams and with our industry. The next project is always right around the corner, and it's much easier to simply dive in without pausing for reflection.

In this session you'll hear a few of the lessons I've learned in my work as a developer and architect, with each story mirroring a classic fable. A selection of the lessons include:

  • "The Feature and its Reflection"
  • "Ticket Soup"
  • "The QA Tester and the Other Devs"

Come to this session to learn about the challenges we face in empathizing with other team roles and being critical of our own work. Regardless of if you just learned about Drupal yesterday, if you've been using Drupal since the introduction of hook_help(), or if you work with Drupal in a non-technical capacity, there's something for you in this session.

Andrew Berry is a Senior Architect at Lullabot who has led Drupal implementations ranging from custom intranets through to some of the most high-trafficked enterprise Drupal websites.
