Many organizations create regular newsletter campaigns to reach out to their constituents, at the same time they are using contents that exists in their Drupal website. This session will showcase one approach to leverage existing contents on the website and how to incorporate them into a newsletter automatically.

The session will focus on the approach of using Mailchimip integration to create recurring campaigns. It will also focus on the whole process of designing a newsletter template to automatically populate contents from Drupal to the newsletters. Many of the ideas and concepts will be applicable to other solutions.

We will cover step-by-step on:

• Creating newsletter template
• Configure content view modes for displaying in newsletters
• Recurring campaign intervals for daily/weekly/monthly newsletters
• Using Drupal views to automatically generate contents for newsletter
• Advanced content generation logic
• Adding contents to newsletter using Views Bulk Operations (VBO)

This session is intended for site builders and administrators. It is meant to give attendees hands-on experience on using existing tools to create recurring emails with Drupal and mailchimp. Developers and technical users are also welcome to attend to understand how to extend this approach further.
