COD: More than just a Drupal camp distribution

Speakers:

COD, the Conference Organizing Distribution, has a long history in powering regional Drupal camps, summits and even DrupalCon. But COD is more than just a distribution for Drupal events. Recent work on COD has made it far more flexible and friendly, so that it can drive any events-oriented website from unconferences and regional meetups to large international conferences. In this session, Jakob and Jason (two of the current COD maintainers) will show you how COD makes event organization easier for you using two example sites - LinuxFest Northwest, the Pacific Northwest’s premier Linux conference, and MongoDB World, an event drawing NoSQL enthusiasts from around the world. They'll also give you a peek under the hood to show you how it works and let you know how you can contribute to making COD even better.

From my involvement with the Twin Cities Drupal Camp planning committee to my own involvement in event organizing - this is a topic that really interests me and I'd like to learn more. I expect to be using COD prior to Austin - this will be a good chance to get some questions answered.
