A Case for Continuous Design & Delivery - Coaching Drupal Teams & Customers Alike

Speakers:

In this session we will go over the opportunities and challenges of integrating Continuous Design process, into the existing Continuous Delivery methods that we practice. Many projects need to be delivered within scope of time and budget constraints. Taking a real world example, we will discuss how we worked with our digital agency partner to develop and deliver on projects successfully, while meeting customer needs.

We have to evolve to stay relevant for the current market needs. Continuous Design and Delivery is part of this evolution. Many mature delivery teams have continuous delivery experience. Using variations of agile methodologies, they are able to accomplish this. But then, how about making Design a continuous process as well. Continuous Design, is an approach of integrating Usability/User Centered Design (UCD) into agile methods.

We will talk about the advantages of moving from "design-up-front" to "design-as-a-continuum" process. Session notes include -

* Behavioral changes and fundamental shift in approaches needed for Just-Enough-Design
* Discuss success strategies and managing risk
* Coaching tools for existing teams to usher them to think differently and boldly
* Go over the Just-Enough-Design principles and methods
* Prototyping for success and stakeholder(s) buy-in
* Integrating Continuous Design with Continuous Delivery

Ultimately, when we break it down the idea of continuously delivering a well designed product is a simple and sustainable concept. Cultivating mature teams is our secret sauce!
