Actionable Insights: Using The Tag Manager Module To Get The Most Out Of Google Analytics

Speakers:

Late in 2013, Blink Reaction was approached by an enterprise client who was working on implementing Google Analytics Premium. Part of the project entailed the development of the forthcoming Drupal Tag Manager module.

Join Erik Wagner and Ray Saltini as they discuss the Tag Manager module and how to get the most out of your Google Analytics on your Drupal website. We'll discuss the why behind the module and what steps you need to take to better capture visitor metrics. Then, we'll discuss how to analyze that data to create actionable insights which will improve your website and conversion rates.

This session will:

  • Present a high level overview of the engagement with the client.
  • Discuss the why behind building the Google Tag Manager module and the problems that our client was facing.
  • Introduce Google's Universal Analytics (beta) and discuss it's improvements over Google Analytics.
  • Introduce event tagging and Google Tag Manager.
  • Discuss the many methods of event tagging within your Drupal website: the traditional and time-consuming method of hand coding versus using Google Tag Manager in conjunction with Blink Reaction's forthcoming GTM module.
  • Demo the new Google Tag Manager module and show you how you too can get the most your Google Analytics.
  • Finally, provide a short overview of the steps you should take to most effectively analyze the data that you're collecting.
