This position could be based at our headquarters in Burnaby, BC, Canada or via telecommute across North America (Pacific Northwest or California is considered ideal). Only applicants eligible to work in Canada or the US will be considered.
About the Position:
The Solutions Architect works closely with our clients to architect and design beautiful web solutions. The Solutions Architect advises, advocates, and consults with our clients to see their business objectives transformed into functional web products. You will be involved in business proposition and change, as well as guiding our development team to ensure that the right solution is built for the client and site users. Fluency in business analysis techniques, UX best practices, and an ability (and desire!) to take ownership in each project in a requirement of this job.
About You:
The ideal candidate is a confident business analyst who approaches their work first and foremost as a consultant and advisor. We’re looking for someone who’s a stellar communicator, who can talk the talk with executives and developers all without missing a beat. A foundation in web technologies is a must! We need someone who’s proactive, flexible, and has a naturally positive disposition.
You Need:
-Must possess at least 4 years of web agency or equivalent experience
-Must possess at least 2 years of experience with business analyst responsibilities
-Experience developing requirements, use cases, user stories, etc.
-Substantial experience in information architecture and UX best practices
-Expert understanding of content management systems (Drupal experience desired)
-Strong understanding of most basic and some advanced Internet technologies
-Experience illustrating information architecture and user interface mechanisms to facilitate client understanding
-Knowledge of life cycle processes, to include planning, analysis, design, development, testing, etc.
-Willingness and attitude to help customers find workable and pragmatic solutions
-Intellectual curiosity with an interest in learning new technologies and practices
-Superb verbal and written communication skills
-Excellent organizational and prioritization
-Technical sales experience would be an asset
