Albatross Digital is a socially driven design and development shop looking for a go-getter Junior Developer who wants to fine tune their front-end Drupal talents with on the job training in a driven and hands-on environment. We need someone to join us in helping governments, non-profits, issue advocacy organizations and social entrepreneurs solve problems through open-source technologies. This is a great opportunity for an entry-level front-end developer who is looking to take the next step professionally by learning from an intimate and experienced operation while contributing to a growing team.
Responsibilities:
• Working with strategists, designers, developers and clients to create cutting-edge websites and online tools.
• Turn designs, mockups, wireframes and/or prototypes into functional websites.
• Keep on top of new web techniques and technologies
• Participate in project team and client meetings.
• Meet deadlines.
• Train clients.
• Support existing client sites.
• Professionalism.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work/life experience
• 1+ years developing for the web
• Strong attention to detail
• CSS
• javascript and jquery
• A strong understanding of PHP
• Drupal specific site building and theming
Additional Strengths:
• Energetic, eager to learn, open to feedback, hardworking, strong communication skills, team player and happy.
• Experience with Drupal features, views, panels, context, etc.
• A solid understanding of Drupal’s theme engine and how to use preprocess functions and create/modify theme functions/templates.
• Knowledge of responsive web development, specifically Foundation.
• Project or client management experience.
