We are looking for an outstanding Drupal site builder and themer to assist and lead on a wide variety of online technology consulting and implementation projects. You will work with a very talented, skilled, and passionate team on technology projects ranging from Drupal CMS implementations to organization-wide technology initiatives for some of the most influential and respected progressive nonprofit organizations.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with the front-end development of website projects
  • At least 2 years of working with Drupal, including some site building in Drupal 7
  • Ability to create drupal themes that match the comp provided
  • Outstanding HTML/CSS/JS (including HTML5 and CSS3)
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript libraries and frameworks, including jQuery
  • Working knowledge of back-end technologies and databases (PHP, MySQL)
  • Responsive design, cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, approaches to theming, QA procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Git, or other collaborative development tools (e.g. Subversion)
  • Comfortable on a command line and familiarity with common web technologies (Apache, MySQL)
  • Familiarty with drush and knowledge of how to use it effectively
  • Ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities without sacrificing the quality of your work
  • Detail oriented, excellent follow thru, ability to work independently with little to no supervision - a self-starter with strong self-management skills
  • Experienced and comfortable working in distributed teams
  • Stellar communication skills
  • An excellent sense of humor

Bonus points awarded for:

  • Ability to build and plan a Drupal site, start to finish, including custom module development
  • Experience with Email Service Providers, email marketing and HTML email coding
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and other CRM platforms
  • Progressive non-profit or political campaign experience welcomed
  • Passion for technology and a desire to expand upon existing technical skill
